PIONEER PRO DJ HEADPHONES BLACK
Outstanding sound
Rigorously tested
Comfortable fit
Solid refined design
As soon as I placed these on and started to perform one ear monitoring technique, right away, I can tell the swivel of the ear-cups did not swivel very smooth and the ear cups are bulky which your live ear continuously gets in the way of your chin and so forth. It could just be they are new-and not worn in yet. Also your monitoring ear continues to rotate the rubber around the ear-cup. Not sure if mine are defective or not. The rubber part can spin. I’m sure all these sync button dj’s don’t even care about the swivel aspect of the ear-cups..lolThese headphones function great, are loud and clear for DJing, but they are clearly designed for smaller heads. I like the tight headband, but its tight because the diameter is small. The earphones rest .5" higher than centered on my ear, requiring I constantly adjust the headband to get a good fit, and while this works, they dont stay in place in between uses or while using actively while djing, hence Im always having to adjust the headband before each use. Seems smaller than a standard size fit for most headphones this range while intended to cater to all size heads, namely inclusive of youth DJs.So I have used many DJ headphones in the last 15 years. For the money first off these are very good quality with very good sound quality. If you are an audio enthusiast these might leave you wanting a little more but if you’re looking for something that has good sound recreation and can get pretty loud for those situations you need to be able to hear what’s going on in your headphones these are really nice. I have larger ears and find that mini headphones cause me discomfort after about 25 minutes these however have not given me any issues even up to a couple of hours. These headphones are slightly bass heavy but not overly done all in all the sound comes through pretty flat. I DJ mostly EDM and old-school hip-hop and these are definitely doing well for me.As I stated these are not your flagship top-of-the-line models and they could have a few improvements. All in all I would say these are a solid bargain for the money if you’re looking for something for at home use or something that can still be taken to the club or a party and they used with confidence.UPDATE: 9 months later... no problem issues. No cracks, ear pads haven’t peeled. Speaker break-in has started to deliver more low end bass. I’ve got to admit, I’m surprised! Still hangin the 5-stars on em!UPDATE: 3 months in. Used 6 days/week, 8 hrs/day, on & off my head - No cracks on housing, anywhere. No pleather peeling. Jack/cable internal solders all holding up.Just got the HDJ-X7's today. I'm a radio DJ & have exclusively used the Pioneer HDJ-1500's since they came out in 2012... The X7's have a “different“ emcee monitor sound vs. 1500's. They’re clean in sound w/ a dramatically crisp audio punch, without any over-the-top forced low-end bass. Don’t get me wrong, the low-end bass is PLENTY strong with their new configuration on these. Seems as the mids range (voice-over) are toned down a bit on these. They truly sit OVER the ear vs. 1500's on-ear, which is likely what makes the bass hits naturally deeper. (Full over ear design could also be main reason mid-range hZ seem dialed back.) Still, these have a better overall sound quality than the 3 pairs of Beats studios, pair of AKG K702's, Sony MDR7506's & Sennheiser HD25's that are occupying my bottom desk drawer, have - Hands down!Construction: Gave the 4-star for “material” seeing that I just in-boxed & used for the first time. So I’m still cautiously-optimistic on the fence. — The HDJ-1500’s were a step up in construction/material to their HDJ-1000 predecessor. All in all: 5 sets of 1000’s in 4 years + 4 sets of 1500’s in 8 years... Seems as though construction has become better with each model release. Daily work-use can be tough. Time will tell & updates will be written!Parts: Having replaceable ear pads & cords are a HUGE plus! ...specially ‘cuz nobody likes duct-taped headphones or peel-y black PU “dandruff” gunk on your ears/face/clothes!Good headphone. Using it for last 3 months. Little heavy but sound quality, noise cancellation all goodThese headphones overall are great. I use them for Live Mixing, they Give clear crisp sound with a nice bass that isn’t muddy. The build quality is really good and has great noise isolation. They are pretty light weight and I can wear them easily for 3-4 hours. One thing I would say I disliked about these is the ear paddings are slightly small, so instead of them going over your ears they rest on the edge of your ears. But padding is pretty comfortable so your ears won’t start hurting for a few hours into wearing them.I use these headphones to have aGreat mix. These are amazing, only thing I didn’t like is the way they fold up when using them to mix. Other than that, sound quality is great, material is good quality and the accessories it come with are good.Very good quality sound. Replaced previous Beats and just as good though heavier , but without regular charging .Cons:I had to return these, they were extremely uncomfortable, actually unbearable. No matter how I positioned them on my ears, the round ear cups would contact the edges of my ears and hurt. I assume that's why the majority of headphones have elongated oval ear cups. Ears aren't round, simply put. The clamping force is also extreme. The sound quality was nothing near what i imagined. My phone has a built in DAC, and it still sounded no better than wireless Bluetooth earbuds. The bass is lackluster. It sounded significantly better on a home amplifier, but I didn't buy them for that. The drawstring bag is pretty cheap for the $280 I paid for these.Pros:The metal frame and build quality is great. I can see these lasting a long time.Fornita con un'elegante confezione, completa di sacchetto per le trasferte, offrono una qualità del suono eccellente, impressionante l'isolamento fornito dei confronti dell'esterno. Le uso per le serate DJ e una volta indossate col play in cuffia disabilitato, quasi non si sente la musica all'esterno! Le consiglio vivamenteAfter 1 month I'm loving these. Really comfortable, though I had to stretch them out a bit at first as with most new phones they were a little tight. Sound is always subjective after a point so I'll just say I get clear signal through the low-mid-highs even when cranked uncomfortably loud. Love that it comes with a couple different cables and they can be swapped out easily.Ottimo prodotto, ma su Pioneer non ci sono dubbi. Un particolare elogio al venditore: Bravissimi! Scrupolosi e attenti. M'hanno telefonato per chiedermi che tipo di musica ascolto e per chiedermi i dettagli utili per la spedizione. Consiglio vivamente per qualsiasi acquisto proposto da questo venditore. (Giuro che non siamo parenti)
